This residence explores a contemporary interpretation of French interiors, where timeless architectural language meets a restrained, modern sensibility. The design is rooted in the idea of creating spaces that feel elegant yet effortless—connected through a cohesive palette, custom detailing, art, and carefully considered objects.
A neutral composition of wood, leather, and textiles establishes a sense of lightness and warmth, while touches of green and aged brass introduce depth and character. Throughout the residence, a continuous language of moldings creates visual connections between spaces, reinforcing the architectural identity of the home. Custom furniture, designed specifically for the project and crafted by Atellier OMU, further enhances this sense of continuity and craftsmanship.
The entry establishes the material and chromatic language with a custom metal console in Verde Alpi marble, framed by brass sconces and wood paneling that extends toward the dining and living areas. In contrast, the powder room becomes an immersive moment, enveloped in panoramic green wallpaper that extends seamlessly from the walls onto the ceiling.
The living, dining, and family areas were conceived around openness, comfort, and gathering. Statement lighting and sculptural pieces—including Kelly Wearstler sconces and a Moooi pendant—add a distinctive contemporary layer, while a tailored sectional and ottoman create an intimate setting for everyday life.
In the primary bedroom, layered moldings frame a custom headboard combining leather, fabric, and wood, balancing sophistication with warmth. The nursery introduces a more playful narrative inspired by The Little Prince, expressed through a custom mobile, starry wallpaper, light woods, and carefully selected pieces designed to encourage imagination and reading.
Art completes the interior as an essential part of its identity. Works by Edgar Solórzano and Prince Lauder, alongside selections from Estudio Actual and Arróniz Gallery, were integrated into the architecture and furnishings to create a home that feels personal, curated, and distinctly contemporary.
