Gold Prize

A highly engaging and well-executed cultural installation with strong public impact, though its visual language could be more distinctive to reach top-tier design excellence.

Jockey Club Learning Chinese Culture through Arts Tech Theatre Programme Palace Museum 36500

This project demonstrates a highly successful integration of cultural narrative, spatial design, and public engagement, transforming complex concepts of Chinese cosmology and architecture into an accessible and immersive arts-tech experience; the modular structural system, inspired by the logic of the Forbidden City, provides both a clear conceptual framework and a flexible spatial language, while the combination of installation, theatre, and educational programming creates a layered and holistic experience that effectively bridges learning and participation. The visual identity is vibrant and approachable, particularly in engaging younger audiences, and the strong public response and visitor numbers further validate its impact and relevance. However, while the project excels in scale, interaction, and educational value, the aesthetic and formal language leans toward clarity and accessibility rather than pushing boundaries, and the overall visual expression could benefit from a more distinctive or innovative artistic signature.
