PORTABLE HUMAN
PORTABLE HUMAN redefines the suitcase as a portable human body. Framed through speculative archaeology and anatomical narration, the project archives the electronic devices, sensory traces, memories and everyday fragments of an ordinary person living in 2026.
Contemporary technologies are recoded as organs: the mobile phone becomes the brain, the camera the eye, headphones the ears, the power bank the heart, and data cables the blood vessels. A mirror represents vision, receipts become memory, resin preserves fragments of life, and acrylic ribs form a skeletal structure. A moving-image component records the city from the suitcase’s own point of view.
The project asks a century-spanning question: when someone opens this suitcase in 2126, will they see obsolete objects—or a person who once existed?
