In traditional Taiwanese temple fairs, lanterns are treated as disposable ritual objects meant to be burned for blessings, or often discarded prematurely due to minor calligraphic errors. This work breaks the destiny of 'destruction through fire' by deconstructing and reimagining these abandoned traditional lanterns through the lens of modern street style. No longer a one-time religious offering, it is reborn as a contemporary art installation infused with street aesthetics—ensuring that faith remains unburned, sparking an everlasting glow within modern spaces.
