"The 2025 Taoyuan Flower Festival presents a vibrant and cohesive cultural branding achievement, seamlessly blending landscape art, local heritage, and contemporary visual identity into an engaging, festival-wide experience."
- World Front Design Award Review
2025 Taoyuan Flower Festival
The event is held in the surrounding farmland of Yuemei Village, Daxi District, Taoyuan City, within the Daxi Leisure Agricultural Area, which covers approximately 219 hectares. This area features expansive rice paddies, the scenic riverbed of the Dahan River, century-old irrigation channels and ponds, as well as the nationally designated historic monument “Li Teng-fang Mansion.” These natural and cultural landscapes provide an ideal environment for the development of leisure agriculture.
Every year in the latter half, during the fallow season, farmers transform their fields into magnificent floral totems and vibrant flower landscapes. This not only boosts the visibility of Taoyuan’s agricultural products and promotes the “Taoyuan Good Agriculture” brand, but also leaves a lasting impression of local specialties such as peaches, tea, lotus roots, milk, melons, black pork, and honey.
The nine-day program integrates music, art, flower fields, and local tourism, creating a unique cultural venue rooted in this land. For the main visual marketing, the floral patterns are iconized into totem motifs, complemented by art installations to attract visitors of all ages from outside the region.
According to last year’s survey, the majority of participants were women aged 40 to 60, who became the core visitor demographic and contributed significantly to local agricultural sales. Across the event grounds, female visitors and family groups could be seen taking photos with the floral fields and art installations as their backdrop.
In summary, the theme “Floral Splendor in Bloom” highlights the carefully cultivated floral patterns within the Daxi Leisure Agricultural Area. With dreamy pastel tones accentuating an elegant atmosphere, the event creates a scene surrounded by flowers, successfully shaping the image of a “backyard garden” for northern Taiwan’s metropolitan areas. Moving forward, the initiative will continue to promote waterfront floral agritourism in the area, expanding its appeal and drawing more visitors from across Taiwan to Taoyuan’s Daxi Leisure Agricultural Area.
